Lead Dev / Full-Stack Developer
📍 Location: Remote work, based in Ukraine / Eastern Europe. On occasion, the team may work together in the same office.
Work structure:
📅 Workweek: 45 hours
🏖️ Paid Days Off: 30 days per year (including national holidays)

About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Dev / Full-Stack Developer to lead the development of a cutting-edge e-commerce and ERP platform. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of modern software architecture. You will guide a team of developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet performance and security standards.
Key responsibilities:
1. Technical leadership:
- Define the overall architecture of the platform and establish technical guidelines and best practices.
- Lead and mentor a team of backend, frontend, and database engineers.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure seamless deployment and scalability.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance benchmarks, and security requirements.
- Review code, provide feedback, and enforce high-quality coding standards.
- Implement automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment strategies.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as needed.
2. System design & implementation:
- Design and implement a highly scalable, secure, and performant e-commerce and ERP system.
- Collaborate with backend, frontend, and PO to integrate various modules.
- Develop a robust API framework for internal and external use.
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility and responsiveness.
3. Performance optimization:
- Conduct thorough performance analysis and optimization to ensure scalability.
- Implement caching mechanisms, database indexing, and load balancing strategies.
- Ensure low latency, high throughput, and maximum availability.
4. Security & compliance:
- Implement security measures across all aspects of the platform.
- Monitor and address vulnerabilities promptly.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
Requirements:
- Technical expertise:
- Proven experience in leading development teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong proficiency in Rust, Svelte, Angular, Tailwind CSS, MongoDB, Kafka.
- Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI, Git, Jira.
- Expertise in building and scaling APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and automated testing.
2. Project management skills:
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.

Key responsibilities:
- Backend Architecture & Design:
- Develop scalable backend systems using Rust, MongoDB, and Kafka.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication.
- Ensure high availability and robustness of backend microservices.
- Implement data streaming solutions using Kafka for real-time processing.
2. Development & Optimization:
- Collaborate with frontend developers and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth integration.
- Optimize database architecture and queries for high performance.
- Implement caching strategies, database indexing, and load balancing.
- Build asynchronous processes for data handling.
3. Security & Compliance:
- Implement authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
- Monitor and address vulnerabilities promptly.
- Ensure adherence to privacy regulations.
4. Testing & Deployment:
- Implement unit tests, integration tests, and API testing.
- Ensure seamless deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI.
