Just two weeks after the intensity of Stuttgart Games Festival, our TOSSIT journey took us north to Spielemesse Hamburg 2024. This fair was smaller—around 20–30 exhibitors—but still a great chance to share TOSSIT with new faces and bring the game to a new city.
A Simple Booth That Worked Perfectly
This time, we kept things light: a 12 m² booth with a vinyl floor, display walls, and a simple checkout desk. No big installations. And honestly, that was perfect. With only two of us, Gaëtan and Jennifer, running the stand, it was more than enough to give everyone a proper TOSSIT experience.
The crowd wasn’t huge, but those who stopped by were curious and enthusiastic. Kids loved the TOSSIT darts, while adults enjoyed discovering the game for the first time. It was relaxed, fun, and a refreshing contrast to the intensity of Stuttgart.

The Not-So-Great Part
Not everything was smooth. Finding the festival venue was a real challenge, involving multiple calls to the organizers just to figure out where to go.
And the hotel experience? A complete disaster. We stayed at the a&o Hamburg Reeperbahn, right in the middle of the city’s party district. Noisy, dirty, no service, overpriced. Without a doubt, the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Not recommended.
Because of the tough logistics and poor accommodation options, it’s unlikely we’ll return to Hamburg unless the fair grows significantly. That said, it was still great to meet new players and watch both kids and adults enjoy TOSSIT.
Why Smaller Fairs Still Matter
Sometimes, the smaller shows remind us why we love doing this: simple setup, fun games, and genuine smiles.
