
We kicked off January 2024 with a major milestone: the official launch of TOSSIT in Türkiye. Part of the team — Nicolas, Martin, and Gaëtan — headed to Istanbul, where our games are manufactured.
The goal was twofold: align production quality with the local factory and bring TOSSIT directly to the Turkish market.
Taking TOSSIT to the Streets of Istanbul
The strategy was simple: replicate what worked in Annecy. A dozen people took to the streets of Istanbul, from Galata Tower to Taksim Square, demonstrating the game, waving banners, and handing out flyers.
But things didn’t go exactly as planned. Up to 30 % of the crowd in Istanbul’s busiest street are undercover police. Our bright yellow TOSSIT team kept getting stopped.

- Told we’d need to pay $1,000 per person per day to promote legally
Meanwhile, unlicensed street vendors operated freely. Frustrating, but instructive.
Going Under the Radar
We adapted quickly. The next day, we ditched the uniforms and went discreet. We filmed content around Istanbul’s iconic landmarks — from universities to mosques to Galata Bridge — while introducing passersby to TOSSIT.
The result: people learned the game, had fun tossing darts, and we captured great promotional material for future campaigns.
Beyond TOSSIT: Expanding Our Reach
The trip wasn’t only about TOSSIT. We also introduced other silicone products (kitchenware and baby items) and prepared to launch Kluster, another game we’ll distribute in Türkiye.
During off hours, the team cooked, filmed content at a seaside Airbnb, enjoyed Turkish cuisine, and recovered with traditional hammams and massages.

A Successful Launch Despite Challenges
The TOSSIT Türkiye launch taught us a lot: adapting quickly, navigating regulations, and connecting with new audiences. One thing is clear: wherever we go, people love discovering and playing TOSSIT.
